Clothing & Food Drive | Nairobi, April 12, 2025

Hosted by Violet Paul Foundation at Noir Gallery In April 2025, the Violet Paul Foundation brought together artists, allies, and advocates at Noir Gallery for a powerful day of purpose — a clothing and food drive for the refugees of Kakuma Camp. With stirring performances by Kings From the East Collective, soul-lifting DJ sets by Q and DJ Paps, and a heartfelt screening of We Are Kakuma by My Start Project UK, the event wove music, film, and community into a tapestry of empathy and action. This gathering was more than a donation drive — it was a movement of care. Every item, every contribution, and every voice came together to affirm a shared belief: that dignity, solidarity, and hope belong to everyone. All proceeds went directly to support displaced families in Kakuma — because community isn’t just where we live, it’s how we show up.
