Potluck with Aize Muhammed Paul & Friends – Closing Donation Drive for Kakuma
This wonderful evening brought together a generous and engaged community for our clothing and donation drive in support of Kakuma Refugee Camp in northern Kenya. Hosted by artist Aize Muhammed Paul and friends, the event featured a shared potluck meal, live performances, and heartfelt conversation. Guests donated not only clothing and essentials—many from designers and artists—but also their time and talent. We were honored to screen the moving documentary Kakuma, My City by filmmaker Harrison Thane and enjoyed live storytelling and performances that deepened the evening’s emotional resonance. Held at Wowzi, an influencer studio, who graciously donated their space, the event became a space for connection and awareness. Many attendees were learning about Kakuma for the first time, and the gathering sparked vital conversations around displacement, cultural integration, and the transformative power of art. It was a night full of generosity, creativity, and community spirit—one that reminded us how shared humanity can fuel meaningful change.
